Zion Church Haiti

Jesus’ Blood Washes me,
Purifies me, Liberates me!

Zion Church is the hub of the mission. All of the students in the school receive education in the Bible at school, but the church is where it all comes together. Mary Jane and Andris hold worship services on Sundays for the community and the students of the school and their families. They teach community, men’s, and women’s Bible Studies and hold continuing education seminars for staff and community leaders. They also have children’s, youth, and VBS ministries when possible!

The church congregation is growing with as many as 300 children and adults present every Sunday. A church/ministry facility has been completed that has worship seating capacity for 1,500.

EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH MATERIALS FOR US CHURCHES

Living Hope Ministries has developed a 5-part program as an add-on to children’s or adult’s Sunday school classes, VBS programs, or other education purposes. It includes short videos or slide shows that showcase the different areas of LHM, with worksheet activities for children. These areas include an overview of LHM, the Preschool, Primary School, Trade School and Church.

Community Service

Past community projects have included the construction of bread ovens in orphanages, schools, churches and communities and the installation of a community well.  Funds were raised and a second community well has been installed.

Another community project that has begun is the Church Entrepreneurship Program.  Funds donated towards this community project will be used to enable families to start or grow an existing business.  The goal of this program is to help families move out of poverty and become productive.
