Latest News

July-August, 2017 -- It's been a VERY busy summer at Living Hope. In the past weeks, we were blessed to teach our kids through VBS (Vacation Bible School), plus there's been much activity around the campus, with the addition of a baptism area and new steps. We've also been administering government exams in business, computers, and welding.

June, 2017 -- God has been blessing Living Hope Ministries over the past few months. Check out the progress on our primary school and its new roof!

Vacation Bible School

June 5th - 8th, 12 members of the "Gathering  Church" came to partner with us and put on a marvelous VBS with all the preschool and primary school classes. All the students had a wonderful time, and best of all, 54 accepted Jesus into their lives.

March, 2017 -- LHM received a gift for 12 cabinets for the primary school. The teachers and students are very happy. Thank you! We have ordered the cement blocks, the cement and rebar arrived to make necessary repairs to the wall by the church (gate to latrine).

February, 2017 -- LHM has been very busy reinforcing existing buildings (after the earthquake) and constructing new buildings. After completing renovations and an extension to the guesthouse in 2015, the wall surrounding the mission was in dire need of reinforcement due to large volumes of water that ran behind the property and (sometimes) through the wall. Those repairs were completed in 2015, and we next turned to reinforcement of the professional building which is the largest building on campus.

Stress fractures in the walls and ceilings of the professional building required us to replace and reinforce large portions of the ceilings and walls.None of the finish plastering or painting has been completed yet, but we believe the buildings are safe again.

In 2016 and 2017, we have begun the construction of new classrooms on the second floor of the primary school. Two classrooms have been completed and plans are being made to add two additional classrooms. With some of the leftover cinder block, the mission erected a small kitchen building for the cooks who make lunch for the teachers and students.A concrete roof was finished in February 2017.And we have many more projects we would like to complete.
